Individual Private Weekly Lessons
STUDENT LESSONS
Students as young as 4 years of age may be accepted (we will set up an interview) Parents would have to be actively involved for children as young as 4 years old to succeed.
Beginners(ages 4-7) through Advanced(up to high school seniors) are accepted. This is a competitive studio, so students are expected to practice and be prepared for weekly lessons.
Private, one-on-one lessons for 30, 45, or 60 minutes each week (I determine length of lesson)
Performance opportunities include a Fall and Spring recital, the Junior Festival, State and local Competitions, and Concerto Spring Recital for the advanced students complete with a chamber orchestra. Duet, Duo and Chamber Ensemble Performances for the Intermediate to Advanced students
Incentive charts and awards help motivate the students. Students work to achieve a specific goal each week and, if achieved, get to mark their charts. Monetary awards are given out at the recitals to those students. In the summer, I have a musical store where the students earn musical bucks to spend in the store. All these incentives excite the younger student and encourage practice which leads to musical success.
Competitive rates
Flexible schedule to allow children who are home-schooled as well as those who have busy school schedules. Makeups are available for conflicts (please refer to studio policy).
Interviews must be scheduled so assessment can be made. This acts as a first lesson, so student with previous training should prepare scales, etude and one piece. Student will be asked to sightread. Student will learn how I approach lessons, and I will learn a little about the students' strengths and weaknesses. This is at no charge to the student. Please contact me at 818-631-3546 to set up audition time.
